The physical format
Film perforations and edge marks provide the construction reference. This effect uses a still-photography 36:24 aperture and eight rounded perforations per frame. Motion-picture layouts are not interchangeable with this layout. One input image supplies every frame. [1]
Our interpretation
Start with Frame Advance, then balance Frame Spacing and Curvature. Crop 0 preserves the photo. Raise Advance Rate and enable animation for signed frame travel. All numerical response and geometry choices are authored estimates.
Evidence and limits
The apple preview is a processed existing photograph, not a capture from the named camera or film. Curved surfaces use analytic geometry and approximate shadows; image development is seekable and artistic.

Adjust strip size; no whole-effect neutral; use Mix.

Adjust the gap between frames; perforations remain tied to frame travel.

- Crop
Zero contains the complete photograph with padding where needed. One fills the aperture; values above one zoom.

- Crop Variation
Adjust crop variation; 0 identical crops.
Default: 0 · Range: 0 to 1
- Curvature
Zero removes curvature. Combine with Tilt for a gently bowed surface; set both and Angle to zero for flat presentation.

- Tilt
Adjust tilt; 0 front-facing.

- Angle
Adjust angle; 0° rotation.

- Negative
Blend positive imagery into an orange-base negative interpretation. This is not calibrated film-stock inversion.

Adjust film density; 0.5 reference base density.

Adjust shadow; 0 no shadow.

Practical tips
- Defaults remain still until you explicitly enable motion.
- Compare at 640px and your intended export size.
Limitations
- No calibrated spectral response, scene relighting or recovery of lost highlights.
- Camera and manufacturer names identify inspiration; no endorsement is implied.
