The physical format
Polaroid describes rollers spreading reagent through the film and subsequent dye development. The square paper proportions follow a Polaroid-shaped print; mini and wide image proportions follow Fujifilm formats. Border is a creative control, so arbitrary settings do not reproduce a manufactured print. [1] [2] [3]
Our interpretation
Start with Print Size and Format. Crop 0 preserves the whole photo; 1 fills the aperture. Try Curl and Tilt together, then scrub Development or animate it with the shared controls. All numerical response and geometry choices are authored estimates.
Evidence and limits
The apple preview is a processed existing photograph, not a capture from the named camera or film. Curved surfaces use analytic geometry and approximate shadows; image development is seekable and artistic.

- Development
One is fully developed; zero is a latent image. Scrub or animate emergence without fading paper coverage. This is an artistic, reversible interpretation.

- Border
Adjust the border in 0.005 increments. Format sets proportions independently.
Default: 0.06 · Range: 0.025 to 0.16
- Crop
Zero contains the complete photograph with padding where needed. One fills the aperture; values above one zoom.

- Curl
Zero removes curvature. Combine with Tilt for a gently bowed surface; set both and Angle to zero for flat presentation.

- Tilt
Adjust tilt; 0 front-facing.

- Angle
Adjust angle; 0° rotation.

Practical tips
- Defaults remain still until you explicitly enable motion.
- Compare at 640px and your intended export size.
Limitations
- No calibrated spectral response, scene relighting or recovery of lost highlights.
- Camera and manufacturer names identify inspiration; no endorsement is implied.
